04 — FAQ
Questions, answered.
Is using a VPN legal in Russia, Iran, or Kazakhstan?
Personal VPN use is not criminalized in any country we serve. Russia restricts uncertified VPN providers but does not prosecute individual users. Iran restricts unauthorized VPNs but individual use is widespread. Kazakhstan permits personal VPN use. This is general information, not legal advice — check local laws if you have specific concerns.
What is VLESS + Reality, and why is it harder to block?
VLESS is a modern proxy protocol; Reality is its TLS-camouflage layer that mimics a legitimate HTTPS site. Deep packet inspection sees an ordinary TLS handshake with no detectable VPN signature. This is why Arcana works in countries that block OpenVPN, WireGuard, and older protocols.
Why a Telegram bot instead of website signup?
Telegram works in censored regions where many VPN websites are blocked. The bot is reachable from any country with Telegram access, requires no email or account creation, and delivers your key in seconds. Payment is via USDT through CryptoBot — no credit card data is needed or stored.
What payment methods do you accept?
USDT via CryptoBot on TRC-20, BSC, or TON. Crypto-only — no credit cards. We never see or store payment data; the rail is handled entirely by CryptoBot.
Can I get a refund?
No — paid subscriptions are non-refundable. Instead, we give you a free 3-day trial of each VPN product (Germany, Finland, Spain, United States, Russia→Finland, Russia→US) so you can verify the product works for your country, network, and devices before paying. If you skip the trial and pay directly, that's your decision and your risk. The only exception: if we ever shut down the service while your paid sub is active, you get a pro-rated credit for the unused portion.
What if it doesn't work in my country?
Start with the trial of the product that matches your situation — for Russia we offer Russia→Finland and Russia→US (each with its own 3-day free trial). If one server gets blocked or slow, you can switch to a different product for free at any time during a paid subscription — your subscription URL stays the same. Iran-specific products are in development; the bot will show available options under Choose VPN → "I'm in Iran".
Which VPN app should I use?
We recommend v2RayTun (iOS / Android, v2raytun.com) for mobile and v2RayN (Windows / macOS / Linux, github.com/2dust/v2rayN/releases) for desktop. Hiddify, Streisand, FoxRay, v2rayNG, NekoBox, and V2Box all work too — any VLESS-compatible client. Copy the VLESS key from /mykeys in the bot and paste it into the app.
Do you keep logs?
No traffic logs. We retain only the minimum needed to run the service: your Telegram user ID, subscription token, plan, and expiry timestamp. No browsing history, DNS queries, or destination IPs are stored.
