How to import VLESS subscription into v2rayNG (Android)

v2rayNG is the most popular Xray-based Android VPN client — older than Hiddify but still very actively maintained. If you already use it, here's how to import an Arcana VPN subscription.

What you need

• v2rayNG installed on Android (Google Play or GitHub releases)
• An Arcana VPN subscription URL from @arcana_vpn_bot

Method A — Paste subscription URL

1. Open v2rayNG.
2. Tap the + icon (top right) → Import config from Clipboard. (If your subscription URL is in clipboard, v2rayNG picks it up automatically.)
3. If clipboard wasn't read, go to Subscription setting (three-dot menu top right → Subscription setting) and tap + to add manually:
   • Remarks: Arcana VPN
   • Subscription URL: https://sub.arcanavpn.com/sub/<your-token>
   • Leave other fields default
   • Tap Done
4. From the main screen, three-dot menu → Update subscriptions.
5. v2rayNG fetches your configs and lists them.

Method B — QR code

If you opened the bot from a different device:

1. In the bot, tap Show QR for your subscription (only some flows show it; if you don't see it, use Method A).
2. In v2rayNG, tap + → Scan QRcode.
3. Point at the QR code. Configs import instantly.

Connect

Tap any config in the list to select it (radio dot turns blue). Then tap the big blue V icon at the bottom right.

Grant the VPN permission prompt when Android asks.

Open Chrome → ifconfig.me. Your IP should now be European.

Common errors

"Failed to update subscription" — v2rayNG couldn't reach sub.arcanavpn.com. On a restrictive network, this can happen before you have any VPN running. Workaround: get the URL on a working network first (or via Telegram in the desktop app), then bring the URL to your phone.

"No configuration found" — your subscription URL is correct but the response was empty. Open the bot, run /sub or pick a product again to ensure a fresh token.

Connection succeeds but no internet — switch products inside the bot (Germany → Finland → Spain). Then in v2rayNG, three-dot menu → Update subscriptions to refresh, then reconnect.

Battery / autostart issues — same as for Hiddify on aggressive OEMs (Xiaomi, Huawei, OPPO): disable battery optimization for v2rayNG and enable autostart in MIUI/EMUI settings. See Hiddify Android guide for screenshots.

v2rayNG vs Hiddify

Both work fine with VLESS + Reality + XHTTP. Differences:

• Hiddify: nicer UI, easier to import subscriptions, automatic config selection.
• v2rayNG: more manual control, older codebase, slightly more granular routing rules.

Pick whichever feels right. The same Arcana subscription URL works in both.
