How to set up Hiddify on Android — VLESS + Reality in 4 steps

Hiddify on Android works on stock Android, Samsung One UI, Xiaomi MIUI, Huawei EMUI, and basically anything running Android 8 or newer. Free, open source, handles subscription updates automatically.

What you need

• An Android phone running Android 8.0 or newer
• An Arcana VPN subscription URL (from @arcana_vpn_bot on Telegram — the 3-day free trial works too)

1. Install Hiddify

Option A — Google Play. Search for "Hiddify Next" in the Play Store. Free, no in-app purchases.

Option B — GitHub APK. If the Play Store is unavailable on your network, download the latest APK from the official Hiddify GitHub releases page. You'll need to enable "Install from unknown sources" for the app you're installing from (your browser or file manager).

2. Get your subscription URL

In the Telegram bot, run /start, pick a product. The bot delivers a subscription URL like:

https://sub.arcanavpn.com/sub/<your-token>

Long-press to copy. This one URL contains all your VLESS configs and refreshes automatically when we rotate endpoints.

3. Add the subscription to Hiddify

Open Hiddify and tap +. Pick Add from clipboard — Hiddify reads the URL automatically.

Hiddify will fetch your configs and show them. Leave the subscription as a single unit; don't toggle individual servers.

4. Connect

Tap Connect. The first time, Android asks permission to add a VPN — approve. The shield icon turns green.

Open Chrome and visit ifconfig.me to verify your IP is now European.

OEM-specific troubleshooting

Xiaomi / Huawei / OPPO — these manufacturers aggressively kill background apps. Open Settings → Apps → Hiddify → Battery → No restrictions. Otherwise the VPN connection drops when you switch apps.

Samsung One UI — usually works out of the box, but if connection drops after sleep, disable battery optimization for Hiddify (Settings → Apps → Hiddify → Battery → Unrestricted).

MIUI 14+ — also enable "Autostart" for Hiddify in MIUI's permission settings.

General troubleshooting

No internet after connecting — switch products in the bot (Germany → Finland) and pull-to-refresh the subscription in Hiddify.

Slow speeds — try a different product. The 3-day free trial of each product helps you find the fastest one for your network.

Can't import URL — make sure you copied the full URL including https://. Try Add from clipboard again or use Add → Subscription to paste manually.

Why VLESS + Reality

WireGuard and OpenVPN traffic signatures are easily fingerprinted by DPI. Reality mimics a legitimate HTTPS connection — no detectable VPN signature. Read more: What is the Reality protocol.
